One day workshops and one night wonders

Looking for quick and fun learning experiences? We offer three types of classes and workshops in Seattle:

  1. One day workshops
  2. One night wonders
  3. Classes with several meetings
One Day Workshops

Want to lose yourself in a day of learning something new and interesting, really focus in on a topic, and forget about life for a while? Our one-day workshops(✰) are a great solution.

Classes with Multiple Meetings

Looking for an in-depth learning experience, with homework and lots of time to practice between class sessions? Our classes with multiple meetings (★) are a great way to go.

One Night Wonders

On a budget, or just wanting to unwind doing something fun and interesting at the end of the day?  You’ll be surprised at how you can learn in single evening, in a fun and focused two or three hour class. Our one night wonders (☽) are both economical, and a great way to really focus in on one aspect of subject and learn it well.

(Oh, and our one night wonder ART classes have free art materials – making them a great choice when you’re on a budget.)

Frequently asked questions

I notice that some classes are offered BOTH as one day workshops and several-week classes.  What’s the difference between the one day and several-week versions?

Our One-Day (or One-Night) Workshops are a short, focused introduction to the key elements of a topic.

Our five week classes explore the same subjects in more depth, with more in-class practice exercises. The five week classes have almost twice as many class hours as the one day versions, so there’s a chance to go into more detail.  The longer versions also usually have homework assignments, so students can keep practicing and learning between class sessions.

With that said – some students love the one day version because it gives them a chance to really lose themselves in a topic in a single day.  And of course some people’s schedules lend themselves more to a one day or one evening class.  So both types of classes are good choices.

To find one day or one night classes on our website, just look for these symbols:

★ = Class with multiple meetings
✰ = One Day Workshop (6 to 8 hours long)
☽ = One Night Wonder (2 or 3 hours long)
