Do you think you have two left feet? Are you nervous about dancing in front of people? Have you ever wanted to audition for a musical but decided not to because of the dreaded “dance call”?

This class, specially designed for people with little to no dance experience, will help the participants develop grace, poise, and confidence. We will review a few basic dance steps and cover what “choreography” is and how to look like a dancer without years of formal training.

Anyone interested in musical theatre who hasn’t taken dance classes will benefit from Musical Theatre: Moving to the Music. This class is part of our MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAM, but you do not need to take Singing for Beginners or Acting in Musicals in order to participate in this one. There are no prerequisites. Sign up, take it, and have fun moving on stage!

“Which Class Should I Take First?”

  • You can take the classes in our MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAM individually, just for fun — or take all five, and earn a Certificate in Musical Theater Fundamentals.
  • The first three classes can be taken in any order. Just be sure you take all three of them before moving on to the PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE.
  • Whether you spell it MUSICAL THEATER or  MUSICAL THEATRE, our classes are a fun place to start.
