“Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free.  Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate.”  Zhuangzi

This course will introduce mindfulness and creative practices that can be used to explore your own unique expression.

Combining guided meditation, gentle movement, collage, drawing and painting in a small group setting the class guides you towards your potential within.

Learn to enjoy the process and let go of outcomes or “doing it right.”

“I made a big decision today to resign from my corporate reception job and continue pursuing freelance film work.”

“The class was great. It felt very safe and calm. A judgement free zone.”

“I do feel more creative.”

“I feel a lot more relaxed and more able to live in the moment. I’m practicingmindfulness more in daily life.”

Inspired by the work of Natalie Goldberg, Julia Cameron, Flora Bowely, and Stephen Pressman who offer multiple approaches that open the door to creative pathways, inspirations and muses. Taught by an experienced mindfulness instructor and an inspired art teacher, this class will help you find motivation and inspiration.

“Mindfulness is…”

  • Mindfulness is… a state of being conscious or aware of the world around us
  • Mindfulness is…a way of incorporating relaxation and healing into our lives
  • Mindfulness is… allowing ourselves to relax and be present in a given moment
  • Mindfulness is… about “listening” to life and responding to challenges, including the challenges faced by artists, in a natural and intuitive way
  • Mindfulness is… both a state of being and a skill one can learn and develop
  • Mindfulness classes are… the beginning of a journey
  • Mindfulness is… an effective approach for exploring creativity and moving beyond creative blocks
