"In this Seattle figure drawing class, you’ll learn how to draw realistic human figures using an easy step-by-step method, even if you’ve never drawn before..."

In this Seattle figure drawing class, you’ll learn how to draw realistic human figures using an easy step-by-step method, even if you’ve never drawn before.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, you’re welcome in this class. Beginners will learn some basics that will help you get off to a good start. Experienced artists have also told us they find this class helpful, to bring their figure drawing into better focus.

This class has FREE ART MATERIALS

  • You do not have to buy or bring any materials.
  • The instructor will bring several types of drawing paper, two drawing pencils, and an eraser for you to use and take home with you, at no cost.
  • They are yours to use during the class and to KEEP after the class ends.

We’ll start out by drawing some simplified figures based on shapes such as easy-to-draw shapes such as ovals and cylinders; learn about the proportions; then learn how to add shading and details to make our figures look realistic and three dimensional.

Plus: how to draw hands and feet, how to show the figure in action, and how to draw both male and female figures.

Many people take this class along with “Drawing Faces and Portraits”, which goes into much more detail about drawing the human head.

This was a great class for me. It went at an easy pace, but covered more than most figure drawing classes cover in a year. My wife mentioned the improvement in my drawings. – R.G., Seattle

I took your figure drawing class five years ago. It made a total difference in my artwork.  Thanks for offering it. – Randy L., Kent

I was looking for Seattle figure drawing classes that did more than just set up a model and tell people to start drawing… this class looked good so I took a chance and signed up. I’m glad I did because it was exactly what I was looking for. – Robin T., Seattle
