ACTING 103 is the third in a series of six classes designed to help students develop their foundation acting skills.

  • In Acting 101, we dipped our toes into acting, getting a sense of how to begin the process of building our acting skills. We did some sense memory work, some improv, some group exercises, and also memorized and performed some short scenes.
  • In Acting 102, we looked at “The Big Four”: Using principles of Objective, Obstacle, Motivation and Backstory to set free the underlying emotional energy of a script.
  • In this class (Acting 103) our focus will be on adding texture and substance to the characters and situations we’re exploring — creating a sense of reality and context.

ACTING 103 is one of our core foundational acting classes. It can be taken by itself, or applied toward our Certificate Program in Acting.  Instructor: Nils Osmar
