Class #177301-5-17 -
LET'S MAKE A MOVIE - ONLINE CLASS
Saturdays 7/11 and 7/18 at 1 pm and other dates (See below)
Tuition: $150 + $10 registration fee
Maximum enrollment: 15.

SATURDAY JULY 11: 1 PM-3 PM: GROUP ZOOM MEETING
This meeting is a general orientation. During it, students will learn some key things about filmmaking, including camera acting tips. You will also learn how to film yourself, including how to film close-ups, medium shots and long shots.

OVER THE NEXT WEEK - the instructor will write a script. The script will be emailed to students when it's done.

SATURDAY JULY 18 - 1 PM - 2 PM ZOOM MEETING 2 (Read through of script and discussion of how we'll be filming it)

OVER NEXT TWO WEEKS: Each student will choose a block of time to film his or her scene. (You will probably need 3-5 hours to film your scenes). The instructor will set up a separate Zoom session with each student to brainstorm with you about, and direct you about how to film, your scene.

You’ll need a camera, camcorder, phone or other device to film yourself with, and a separate device for a Zoom connection with the instructor.

After filming is completed, you’ll send in your filmed footage so that it can be included in the film. (You can use Google Drive or some other online file transfer protocol)

After filming is completed, the movie will be edited and will have an original musical score created.

When the movie is finished, we’ll meet as a group using Zoom for its premiere. After that it will go up on Youtube, so that you can share it with your friends.
