ACTING 103: CLASS DESCRIPTION:

In this class, our focus will be on moving our acting to a more natural and realistic level. 

  • We’ll do “listening and responding” exercises, silent acting exercises, physical acting, and perform some longer and more complex scenes.
  • As in the first two courses, students will get lots of acting practice and performance time in front of the class.
  • Plus, we’ll bring a camera into the class and start learning some basic camera acting techniques using it.
  • This class can be taken independently or applied toward our Acting Fundamentals Certificate Program.

About Nils Osmar

Nils Osmar was born in Alaska, and grew up in a wilderness area on the southern coast. He now lives in Seattle. He has made his living in the arts for over thirty years, working as a writer, visual artist, teacher, and filmmaker. He currently teaches through the University of Washington's ASUW Experimental College. He is the Director of an independent educational program, Classesandworkshops.com, which offers courses in visual, written and performing arts in Seattle, Washington.
