Your assignment for this week has several parts:

1. Come up with FIVE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS.
2. Give each of them a NAME.
3. Give each of them different PERSONALITY TRAITS that are very different from each other.
4. If you don’t have ideas for personalities choose five from this list:
   1. 1. 1. LOUD and OBNOXIOUS.
         2. QUIET and SHY
         3. TALKATIVE… a person who uses fifty words to say something when five would do.
         4. SARCASTIC
         5. FRIENDLY… always loving and kind to others
         6. NASTY… always putting people down.
         7. OPTIMISTIC… always looking on the bright side.
         8. PESSIMISTIC… always looking on the down side
         9. GIGGLY
         10. PRIM and PROPER.
         11. NERVOUS about everything.
         12. FULL OF SELF-DOUBT
         13. SMUG AND SUPERIOR… they think they’re better than the other characters.
5. Practice how the character might sit, stand, walk and talk.
6. Then, when you know your characters well, write a short conversation between your characters and memorize it for class. (They’re all in a room talking.)  They can be talking about anything. The conversation does not have to be long but should give each of them a chance to show his or her personality clearly.
