NOTE: Our IN-PERSON classes meet in Seattle on the University of Washington campus. They’re on a break due to coronavirus. They’ll be back sometime in 2021. Meantime, whether you live in Hollywood, Seattle, New York, Chicago, or anywhere else in the country, everyone 17 or older can take our online courses.

Acting is fun — and it can be life-changing. In this enjoyable four-week class, you’ll learn how to create characters, memorize dialogue, and perform scenes in front of the class. We’ll do warm-ups and theater games, improv and scene work. You’ll also get information about Seattle’s film and theater scenes, and learn about auditioning opportunities in Seattle. Plus: How to use your voice, body and emotions as acting tools.

Whether you’re taking an acting class just for fun, to get over your stage fright and get more comfortable in front of people, or have professional aspirations to act in television or movies or on stage –– everyone is welcome.

If you’re new to acting, start with this class. It can be taken independently or applied toward our Acting Fundamentals Certificate Program.
