For this week’s homework:
1) To get more practice with a brush, try imitating the brush strokes in the example below (click to enlarge the image)
2) Print out the image below and ink it onto tracing paper:

Class 2075: Drawing in Pen, Brush and Ink
Ink drawings can be striking and beautiful. They have a vivid element of contrast that can define forms in a dramatic or whimsical way (like the image of the ink bottle on this page… it’s solid black and white, but has a striking three dimensional appearance.) • The DRAWING COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS class, unfortunately had to be postponed till fall quarter because of a room scheduling problem. It will be a definite go in the fall, as a one day workshop. Registrations are now open for fall quarter.
