When: Sunday February 26th, 12 noon.-4:30 p.m. (one meeting)

A fun one-day workshop for students who would like to learn more about the auditioning process. You'll learn where to find auditions in the Seattle area; how to sort out the promising auditions from the ones you might want to avoid; how to audition for both paid and unpaid roles; how to slate for the camera; and more. Plus, information about headshots, resumes and career opportunities for actors in the area. Also, s students who are working on a monologue will get a chance to practice and perform it in class (the monologues will be filmed and will be uploaded later for the student to view). Taking this class will help students get more comfortable with the process of auditioning, connect with opportunities in Seattle, get a good sense of where to find stage, film and television auditions, and get ready to take the next step.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Nils Osmar has made his living in the arts since the 1980s, and has taught both accredited and non-accredited classes in Seattle for over twenty years, through the University of Washington's ASUW Experimental College, Antioch University Heritage Institute, the Wonder School, and Classesandworkshops.com. He also teaches filmmaking, screenwriting, and other courses related to theater and film. His background includes over twenty years as an actor. playwright, producer and director. His stageplays have been produced in the Seattle Fringe Festival, New City Theater Directors' Fests and other venues. His movies have played at major international film festivals.
